Mittersill Strudel Festival on September 6, 2026

A culinary highlight in the event calendar is the Mittersill Strudel Festival on Sunday, September 6, 2026. From 11:00 AM, Lebzeltergasse and Hintergasse will transform into cozy ‘Strudel Lanes’. More than 30 different types of strudel are announced – from classics like apple and curd strudel to creative original creations by local innkeepers. Live music, the parade of the Mittersill Civic Band, and a children’s program will accompany the day.

For guests of our Hotel Bräurup, the Strudel Festival can be ideally combined with a relaxed weekend in Mittersill. After a stroll through the town, regional cuisine awaits you – and perhaps a freshly tapped beer from our in-house brewery. This turns an event day into a true indulgence holiday in Salzburger Land.

Mittersill Weekly Market: regional specialties every Friday

If you want to get to know regional products and typical delicacies, you should reserve a Friday morning in September for the Mittersill Weekly Market. From May to September, the market takes place every Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the town square. Local products, seasonal delicacies, and specialties from the region are offered.

According to the current event schedule, market dates in September 2026 are possible on September 4, 11, 18, and 25. A visit to the market can be wonderfully combined with a walk through Mittersill, a hike, or a leisurely afternoon in our wellness area.

Hiking in Mittersill: Activity Program until September 25

September also offers many opportunities for a hiking holiday in Mittersill. The official hiking and activity program of the region runs until September 25, 2026. Guided tours are offered in the mountains around Mittersill, Hollersbach, and Stuhlfelden. Prior registration is required for program items; for hikes, this usually needs to be done by 6:00 PM the day before.

Utilize the National Park Summer Card

The National Park Summer Card offers additional freedom to guests of Hotel Bräurup. It includes more than 60 free experiences and attractions in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region. These include mountain railways, museums, and nature experiences. Additionally, the mobility ticket allows free use of public transport in the province of Salzburg.
