Hotel’s own brewery
Our own small brewery is located right next to the Hotel Bräurup. Based on an old brewing tradition dating back to 1681, we have been brewing our own unfiltered cellar-cloudy Märzen beer and our yeast-cloudy wheat beer here again since 2006. State-of-the-art technology and a good dose of love for brewing make it possible, and you can taste or enjoy it in our house. Bottom up!
History of the brewery
the story the brewery in Mittersill is also closely linked to the origin of the name Bräurup. In fact, it was our great-great-great-grandfather Rupert Schwaiger who bought the brewery in 1823 and, thanks to his excellent beer, led it to a new size. Soon the brewery in Pinzgau and its brewer Rupert, whose name quickly became the Bräu Rup, were known far beyond the city and state borders. Today we brew our two main beers, accompanied by seasonal specials, primarily for our guest house.

Every beer on our menu, whether overcooked or served with certain dishes, was made by ours Beer sommelier handpicked. Matthias Gassner, head of the house and brewer of our brewery in Pinzgau, has extensive expert knowledge of everything to do with cool barley juice. He ensures that your stay in our beer hotel is a real pleasure.
