Glorious imperial weather, glorious sunshine with only a few clouds, plus hardly any wind and pleasant temperatures – the perfect conditions for an extended motorcycle tour in Pinzgau prevail. Around our Hotel Bräurup in the Hohe Tauern National Park region you can expect an abundance of panoramic roads and excursion destinations that will make passionate bikers happy. We have selected two personal favorites for you in the immediate vicinity.

Excursion on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road

With its 48 meandering kilometers, numerous loops and magnificent views, the Großglockner High Alpine Road is one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in Europe. The kilometer stone 0 on the Salzburg side is in Bruck, about half an hour from Bräurup. On the way from Fusch-Ferleiten to Heiligenblut on the Carinthian side, you stop at spectacular viewing platforms with the visitor center and observation tower on Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe as the undisputed highlight. Rides on the panorama road cost € 27 for motorbikes. With the National Park Summer Card, which you receive free of charge as a Bräurup guest, one High Alpine Road day pass is included per stay.

With the motorcycle over the Hochkönig

The Hochkönig is generally considered to be the peak of emotions. Anyone who has ever crossed the massive mountain range on a motorcycle understands this only too well. The round tour leads in a short (approx. 110 km) and an extended (approx. 220 km) variant around Kaprun, which is 25 minutes away. You drive through Saalfelden, the three Hochkönig communities Maria Alm, Dienten and Mühlbach as well as Bischofshofen with side trips to Tennengau and Bavaria during the longer journey. This easy, leisurely tour invites you to pure driving fun and full enjoyment of nature.
