Highlights of the Bauernherbst
The Bauernherbst is not only a feast for the senses but also an opportunity to experience the centuries-old traditions of Salzburg State firsthand. Whether you attend a mountain mass or browse one of the many markets – each event reflects the deep connection people have with their homeland.
A special highlight is the Mittersill Strudel Festival. On September 1st, Lebzeltergasse and Hintergasse transformed into ‘Strudel Lanes’. Over 30 types of strudel, from classic apple and curd cheese strudels to creative new creations, delighted visitors. Live bands such as Rudi Musi, 7aBagasch, and Pinzgauer Blechschaden provided musical entertainment.

Hollersbach Farmers’ Market
No less charming is the Hollersbach Farmers’ Market on October 6th. Here you’ll find an abundance of regional products such as cheese, butter, bacon, and sausage. In addition to culinary delights, there are handmade gifts and a diverse supporting program that includes traditional music and children’s activities.
